Juan C. Echeverri, DDS

After earning a dental degree (DDS) in his native country of Colombia, Dr. Echeverri moved to the US to pursue graduate studies. He attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, where he received his certificate in prosthetic dentistry, followed by a certificate in maxillofacial dentistry from the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas in Houston.

Dr. Echeverri earned his American DDS degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, Texas, in 1992. Dr. Echeverri has lectured in Colombia, Venezuela, Spain, and the United States and has published articles in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and the Journal of the American Orthodontic Society. In addition to his private practice, lectures, and publications, he continues to advance his knowledge of dentistry regularly through continuing education courses. He has received advanced training in orthodontics, with an emphasis on CBCT and skeletal anchorage.

Dr. Echeverri has been practicing in the Houston, Texas, area since 1993. His private practice focuses on a comprehensive approach to treating patients, including restorative, prosthetics, and implant dentistry, as well as oral surgery and orthodontics. Dr. Echeverri is a member of the American Dental Association and is a Diplomate, past president, and instructor for the American Orthodontic Society. He has also received multiple awards.

He participates in charitable mission trips to Guatemala with his wife, Dr. Elsa Echeverri, with Faith in Practice. Since 2000 he has participated as a rider and fundraiser for the Houston to Austin MS150 bike ride.

As a father, Dr. Echeverri understands the joys and tribulations of being a parent and finds immense fulfillment in the achievements of his children and now his grandchildren in every stage of their lives.
